ZONA 1

We are an agroecological cooperative association from Córdoba which manages and cares for a garden in order to be able to consume healthy, organic and local vegetables.

But La Acequia is much more than this, it is a social movement that seeks to break the traditional ties and chains of consumption, reconnecting with the peasant way, making all the people who make it up complicit with the responsibilities, risks and fruits of the harvest and the field, maintaining completely horizontal, supportive and transparent organizational structures.

ZONA 2

Principle of trust and mutual solidarity.
Promotion of social and human relationships based on mutual trust and solidarity, and which encompasses solidarity co-responsibility, cooperation and mutual help and the construction of a social alternative.
Principle of love and respect for nature (people, animals, plants and land).
It encompasses the non-exploitation of people, the non-use of pesticides or GMOs.
Principle of alternative economy.
Conceive the economy as an instrument and never as an end at the service of other human relations, and which encompasses the use of alternative systems of economic relations, reinforcement of food sovereignty (rescue of traditional seeds), responsible, critical and supportive consumption, strengthening of networks production premises, links with other alternative economic experiences, etc.
Principle of organizational autonomy.
It takes shape in our determination of independence from any other political, social or economic, institutional or citizen entity. But also in self-organization in consumer groups.

RELATED PROJECTS... Hortigas agroecological cooperative (Granada).

In both the Hortigas project and La acequia, we put food at the center of the debate as an area from which new political relationships are built with the environment and with conventional forms of participation. Food stops being just an everyday element of reference for people and becomes an opportunity to build new types of social and political relationships.
